Gilfach Wen Barn Hostel, Bunkhouse.
Staying in a bunkhouse is about wanting more than just a bed to sleep in. It's a chance to meet new people and old friends as well as providing you with the freedom of self catering.
The high ratio of showers to bed spaces means everyone can enjoy a hot shower at the end of a busy day before sitting around the log fire to talk about their day.
Groups can book either a room or the whole barn on a sole use basis. Which is ideal for Stag groups and Corporate Challenge days.
The Weekend starts on Friday.
When you arrive, probably late on Friday evening a roaring Log Fire will await you along with a plate of home made sandwiches or some Welsh Cowl and Home-made Bread and you may help yourself to a hot drink “or anything else you may have in your bag”.
A Buffet Breakfast is provided on both days. When consumed your Instructor/Guide will run through a brief on the days MTB ride and trail information.
Your Bikes will be waiting for you at the start of the trail. We use only GIANT 9 speed hardtail’s with Hyd disc brakes and F/fork lockouts. Riding from approximately 10.30-16.00 you will be glad of your packed lunch and ready for that shower.
On Saturday evening you will be treated to a hearty meal prepared in our Farmhouse Kitchens from the finest local produce, to suit all tastes.

Sundays Challenge, Gorlech Trail.
The Gorlech Trail is probably the best trail in south Wales 19 k’s of hard fast trail with an all weather surface.
Very quickly you will be railing the perfectly sculptured berm’s and switchbacks, jumping the step up jumps and tabletops. The whole experience will leave you breathless and exhilarated.
Once you have conquered Brechfa the world is your Oyster. Back for a shower some food and hit the road.
