The Grange Activity & Conference Centre

The Grange is situated high on a mountainside near the village of Goytre “Port Talbot” with stunning views across Swansea Bay towards the Gower Peninsular. The North Devon Coast lies to the south across the Bristol Channel. Just five minutes drive from junction 40 of the M4. Access is easy with ample secure parking. The Grange can sleep up to 16 adults. As an alternative Log Cabins are available in the valley.

Gastronomic Delights and Activities

The gastronomic delights served from our in house catering facility use organically produced local products many provided by the family farm. The Grange is the centre for our diverse range of eco-friendly Corporate Entertainment Packages and houses a Conference Hall that allows clients the flexibility to incorporate a seminar for new product launches etc for up to thirty guests with an integrated activity programme. Packages are themed to suit clients requirements.

Safety and Support

We recommend a package centred around our “Mountain Bike Challenge” theme. We provide high specification Mountain Bikes, Riding Gloves, an approved Helmet, and a professional MTB Instructor Guide who will continuously give professional advice to the riders. Vehicular backup is at hand throughout the day. Riders should bring along eye protection, protective clothing and training shoes.

Registration

Registration takes place after breakfast if you decide to stay overnight as part of a Gastronomic Delights package. Clients joining us in the morning register in the Conference Hall where tea coffee and toast is served. During this period our guides will give a safety brief and fit out clients with riding helmets and gloves. Moving into the courtyard top range MTB's will be issued and a riding brief given.

The Riding Experience

Venturing into the forest the routes we ride are chosen for their “relative ease” and stunning scenic views. The descent is a controlled but exhilarating adventure allowing conversation at times whilst riding and at the breather stops. A support vehicle meets the group during the ride providing drinks and snacks. By about 14.30hrs the group will have reached the end of their days ride. Time to rinse off the mud and then enjoy a hearty meal.

These one day MTB Challenge packages at the Grange are priced at £760 for a group minimum group of eight guest riders, additional riders (up to a maximum group size of thirty) at £86 per additional rider (excluding B&B).
